The whole “time is money” thing has never felt right to me. Money isn’t the true currency. Time is.
Time is presence.
Time is care.
Time is connection.
And that’s what we do in this craft. We take time.
Time to create. Or even better ... time to co-create with a customer. Because what we create isn’t only a pair of beautiful sandals. It’s something truly personal, made just for her. And moments she won’t forget. Memories that stay with her for decades.
I can’t tell you how often I’ve heard a woman say: “I had sandals made in Capri 20 years ago, and I’ve never forgotten.”
And I've often pondered why. Why do those memories last a lifetime? It’s not just the sandals. It’s the experience. It’s the moment she felt inspired. Seen. Cared for. It’s the memory of being part of something rare, something she couldn’t find anywhere else.
That is the most sustainable way to build a business. Not chasing speed. Not mass production. But building with care. With intention. And with time.
Because in the end, sandals may be the product… but connection is the real currency.
And in this craft, that connection comes alive in the making itself. A woman chooses her style, her colors, her materials. She adds details, selects embellishments, chooses how her sandals will be finished. And then, right before her eyes, they’re made just for her. One of a kind.
It’s creative, personal, and unforgettable. A moment she will always carry with her, every time she slips into those sandals.
